Abdulraof Almahfouz obtained his medical degree in 1984 from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Following a two year residency in King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Reseach Center (KFSH&RC) . In 1993 Dr. Almahfouz returned to KFSH&RC after completing his postgraduate training in internal medicine and endocrinology at Harvard affiliated institutions where he held the position of Consultant Endocrinologist. During these years Dr. Almahfouz held many positions and chaired many committees such as Department of Medicine Quality Director. Endocrine fellowship director at KFSH&RC. Chairman of the Exam Committee of the Saudi council Endocrine Fellowship Program and the Section Head of Endocrinology at KFSH&RC. Dr. Almahfouz lectures at Al Faisal University and is the Endocrine Block Director of third year students as well as an active mentor and lecturer for postgraduate residents and fellows. Dr. Almahfouz is Chair of the Saudi Council Scientific Endocrine committee. He has participated as members of many scientific program for many national and regional conferences. Dr. Almahfouz is also active in public education and organized many diabetes awareness days.
