Asma Deeb is currently the Chief of Paediatric Endocrinology at Mafraq Hospital. Abu Dhabi. She is the Secretary General for the Arab Society of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (ASPED).
Dr. Deeb trained in the UK and is a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. UK. She obtained an medical degree in growth hormone gene expression in 2002 from University of Newcastle. Dr. Deeb was appointed as a Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Endocrinology at the University of Cambridge between 2001 and 2006 and obtained a CCST in Paediatric Endocrinology. She relocated to the UAE and founded the Paediatric Endocrinology Department at Mafraq Hospital. Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Deeb has special interest in the use of technology in management of diabetes and genetics of diabetes mellitus. She is actively participating in international clinical trials in diabetes and has many publications in peer-reviewed journals.
